Materials

Our sash windows are built using only specially selected, premium quality redwood.

Vacuum treatment

The wood then goes through a vacuum treatment process, impregnating it with an anti-fungal and anti-rot treatment.

Applying the treatment in this way, rather than painting, ensures the preservative sinks deep into the timber for longer lasting protection.

Finish coating

Then the frames are coated with a micro-porous finish so the timber can dry out after rain and the paint won't crack from the wood's expansion and contraction.

A factory applied coating ensures that every surface of the wood is covered equally, unlike a normal paint finish applied to fitted windows which only protects the surfaces you can see.
